"A SPACE FOR GOOD DESIGN"
10 / 2020 - 11/2020
LITHUANIAN DESIGN FORUM
The exhibition "A space for good design" was the main event of Lithuanian Design Week in Klaipėda.
The exhibition showcased best works of Lithuanian design based by national competition "Good design" winners which awards products of Lithuanian companies and Lithuanian designers. The works are evaluated by an international panel of experts and the main evaluation criteria is: innovation, ergonomics, functionality and safety of use, environmental friendliness and sustainability, aesthetic value.
While collecting and picking objects for the exhibition details were taken into account in order to reveal each object as an individual, independent, exclusive. I chosen to separate the objects from each other or to place only a few consistent objects next to each other in order to distinguish the uniqueness of each object and the tory it carries. Therefore, I invited visitors to review each object carefully - to notice the object's texture, materials, color or color combination, to imagine its interaction with the user - with the visitor.
Professional Lithuanian designers and companies present their works at the exhibition: Vita Vaitiekūnaitė, Barbora Adamonytė-Keidūnė, Greta Unguvaitytė, Agota Rimšaitė, Severija Inčirauskaitė-Kriaunevičienė, Eglė Rusteikaitė, Dalius Ilginis, Rasa Ilginė, Rė Ilginė, Gerda Liudavi Marija Puipaitė, Simonas Tarvydas (Indi), Gaudutė Žilytė, company Iddo, company Sedes Regia, design studio Etc.etc, company EMKO, Godspeed Branding Studio, company Smells like spells.
